It's quite hard to remember the examples in the stack of newspaper articles we were provided with because they are not exactly interesting nor mind-boggling. Henceee, I'm sourcing for my own examples ! ^^ Love all those hilarious examples .

Characteristics of Singaporeans: Complain too much
I like the way they put it ~Then Mr Goh went on to say that the cost may not be passed down to commuters directly, but it has to be defrayed. At that point, every Singaporean gulped, and unconsciously touched their wallets and purses, because we know what that means.
The operative words were "MAY not be passed down" and "defrayed." In other words, somehow, some way, someone has to pay.
And besides, our senior minister is already complaining that we complain too much.
Have you heard of the tree octupus?!!!
Tree octopuses have eyesight comparable to humans. Besides allowing them to see their prey and environment, it helps them in inter-octopus relations. Although they are not social animals like us, they display to one-another their emotions through their ability to change the color of their skin: red indicates anger, white fear, while they normally maintain a mottled brown tone to blend in with the background.
Charateristics of youths: Dumb (not discerning) (with regards to the above)
Many youths (kids and teens) bought the story and actually follow their 'campaigns' to save this endangered species. This whole tree octopus thing is a complete joke !
Actually, I shouldn't be laughing at them cos I think I'm part of this Dumb Generation as well. Sheesh. No, wait, I was discerning but succumbed to pressure. Aha ! Sounds better :) Shall test this on CY tmr >:) CONFIRM BELIEVE ! hahaha !
Charateristics of Mass Media: Youths overly influenced by media
Kids gyrating Beyonce's Single Ladies dance moves. Too young to strut these kind of moves,but they are good ! Goshhh...
Also, some companies have installed "topless" meetings in which laptop and other electronic devices such as iPhones are banned from meetings.
With a device close by, attendees at workplace meetings simply cannot keep their focus on the speaker. It's too easy to check email, stock quotes and Facebook.
Therefore, I should and would be keeping all my devices in another room after this post and continue mugging :)
