Bio's Strawberry Business
7:15:00 PMWOAHHH J1s coming in tmr!
I CAN'T believe one year has passed and we're J2s now. That fact won't sink in man! The pace is sickeningly fast :<
Anyway! We had our first bio practical this afternoon: collecting strawberry DNA. HAHAHA!
Smelling all that strawberry gives me a sudden Strawberry Shortcake craving O__O
Here's the view from lying on the table. Since my strawberry was much more juicy and pulpy, the filtration took SO freaking long! Ended up being the last one to complete =.= (the last few at least)
Adding ethanol was the last step to get the DNA to float up the boiling tube. Then we will use a satay stick to twirl round the DNA to extract it. Honestly, that clump of DNA looks like mucus...
My friend and I reached the freezer at the same time and she took the last full bottle of ethanol :(
Another friend told me he had some remaining ethanol left :D But it wasn't ice-cold anymore, so I gotta freeze it again.
THEN, my another-another friend took that last remaining ethanol!!! :((
So I ended up with none :(((
So I couldn't collect any DNA :((((
Which makes me very :(((((

A STRAWBERRY FIGHT GOING ON DOWNSTAIRS!!!
Wanted to get Oreo milkshake from a nearby BBT but so many primary school kids were crowding there. Didn't queue because 1 JC kid queuing with many lil kids, a bit out :b
Moral ed. talked about being thankful for what we have and not grouch on what we don't.
