CHALET x BBQ x Night cycling w Guitar peeps

18-19 January

BBQ-ed at Goldkist Chalet with my Guitar peeps <3 

That was the first chalet I've been to with so little people (8 in total) and it was also the first BBQ that I actually helped out with the food preparation. No I'm not spoilt! There are just other people who are better in cooking/ BBQ-ing than me! :)


FOOD WAS DEEELICIOUS mm mmm~ Spreading MORE butter helps! Especially loved the chicken wings! Lina was in charge of the wings, I thought she did a great job w the marination, then she told me they were already pre-marinated chey hahaha


There were too much leftover food, one plate full of hotdogs, mushrooms, one bottle of bacon, one packet of cheddar omggg. We stared at the food not knowing what to do with them, we told ourselves we would eat them after coming back from cycling but we all knew we wouldn't lols~


We each rented bikes overnight for $12, pretty worth it!

Something freaky happened while cycling!

Ohmygoodness halfway through I suddenly had a baddd omen. I don't know it was just a sudden bad feeling! If I were to illustrate what I felt, it'd be akin to seeing black swirling haze??? I don't know la!
I chanted/prayed while feeling super uneasy. While turning round a corner (it wasn't even any sharp bend!), I somehow cycled onto an elevated pavement and jerked down after that with a thud, I almost flew of my bike!!! That impact was so great that my bottle almost jumped out of the basket omg. 
THANKFULLY I regained balance fast enough *heaves a sigh of relief* And the black swirly haze was gone! :) 

We cycled to the jetty for a rest, enjoyed the wind, the cold air, the beautiful night lights, we could see Singapore Flyer from where we were! 



They taking selfies in the front and we were taking selfies at the back, only realised after the pictures were whatsapped HAHAHAHA


I like cycling, I think about life, I think about how I could be cycling on a tandem bike with my non-existent boyfriend

Or like that also can :D

1-2 hours later, we went back to the chalet, eating grapes, drinking blackcurrent cocktail which my friends thought it was bleah taste like ribena + water + alcohol + can't taste the blackcurrent I thought it was still okay la, playing Bridge, Cheat, Indian Poker lols, along with a prank call to Zhen Ye as the forfeit (Truth or Dare) for the loser of Indian Poker. We tried to stifle our laughters but Zhen Ye seems to have heard our half-suppressed laughter in the background dammit hahaha

It was around 3.40AM (wait a minute, or was it 4AM plus?? OMG) Yuen Ping wanted to go back cycling to 1) make their 12 bucks worth and 2) catch the sunrise, and she jio-ed everyone along, succeeding somehow~

When they first mentioned the idea, I agreed to follow along because..... I scared la! Dare not stay in the chalet alone. But when they were actually about to leave, I changed my mind and chose to stay in the chalet after foreseeing how much of a zombie I would be the next day hahahaha. Plus if I go to sleep immediately, NO GHOSTS WILL COME AND SCARE ME because I'm asleep and I won't know and I can't see what is going on X)

At first, Rongyi said she didn't want to cycle and she's gonna stay in with meeee but after that she pangseh me and chose to go with them as well :< 

"Sia la, alone", I thought. 

Just at that moment! Benedict re-contemplated because he had work the next day. "Haiyaaaa okay la, I don't go" 

I was.... RELIEVED HAHA because having a companion means I'd be less likely to think about ghosts.

So it was just us alone in the room and I thought about what usually happens in dramas in such... circumstances. DON'T GET ME WRONG!! I didn't think about me being the female lead but I just thought about the drama scenes... in general. Not everyone is full of lusttt so nothing happened la!

Ben has nice songs in his phone so YP took it to cycling, Ben has no phone so he used mine to set alarm and he scrolled through my embarrassing list of cartoon ringtones AND PLAYED IT OUT! I told him to just choose any normal default Samsung ringtone that he always uses because I couldn't stand hearing the ringtones anymoreeee LOLS. But he continued scrolling and playing it out because it was "interesting la" ~ 
He finally settled with Doraemon.  

Then we went to sleep on our own separate tilams which were separated by a bed. Got 2 beds why not sleep on the beds, 1 each? Wellll our beds became tables LOLS 

I couldn't fall asleep until 5.20am ohmygod.

"Jesselyn can pass me the charger?" *noise noise noise* "Sorry ah, my feet got sand, I accidentally step onto the mattress now here dirty already" *noise plastic ruffling noise* 
I first opened my eyes to that.

And went back to sleep.

The second time I opened my eyes, everyone was gone! Along with their belongings! Sia la, don't tell me they pangseh us?!?! Forget it, I closed my eyes again.

Some time later, YP came in to bid farewell and took 12 bucks from Ben's wallet. But like abit bad to just take w/o informing ah. So she TRIED to wake him up by hollering his name several times, jumping on the mattress, whacking him with a pillow. Did he move an inch? No!
"Eh you acting one ah?" I asked. No reply.
I later went closer to check and he had this constant breathing motion and I figured that he was truly sleeping. Idk when people sleep they take deeper breaths so their chests would expand and contract more obviously O_O

YP, Rongyi, Lina left first, only me Liyun Pearlyn and Ben remaining

I was wondering how can he wake up to my Doraemon alarm when YP's whacking didn't work. But he did!! He sat up in a zombie manner, hug his pillow andddd went back to sleep again.
Pearlyn and Liyun came in and we all went back to sleep. 

Surprisingly when we woke up, Benedict was already all changed, and packed up and he even returned all our bikes to the rental shop (7 in total) . Chopchop cleaned up and left. Since nobody wanted all the utensils, tongs, scissors , everything, I took them lor, throw away very wasted ah!

Macs breakfast with Pearlyn and Liyun after that, Benedict left earlier for work
Liyun bought this wrap thingy from Mcdonalds. I thought it would be around the same size as those in Subway but it was FREAKING small, like the size of a hashbrown!?
Tested Pearlyn's S4 camera, unfairrrr why her camera has this in-built vignette filter but my S3 don't have :( It's so pweeeeedy

For dinner at home, the most coincidental thing happened.
When Joe was cooking, I smelt something familiar but I couldn't piece what it was. It smelt burnt somehow. There were chicken wings for dinner. I love chicken wings! Took a bite and..... OMG THIS IS THE EXACT SAME WINGS I HAD YTD! Same marinate omg hahahaha! 

To top it off, my hair still smelt like chicken wings even after bathing holymoly!!
