The WORLD is too small, SINGAPORE is even smaller.
1:59:00 AMIt is either 1) Singapore is just way too freaking small, or 2) (this word is a lil too strong but.... fate) Fate sure works its ways. I mean, what's the probability of meeting and talking to someone, realising we were supposed to have met earlier but didn't and here we are, meeting again. Short story long, this is what happened:
So I found out, a few days back, that we had to submit a HARCOPY of our results, a photocopy of our NRIC, testimonies etc to SMU despite already sending in an online copy of our results. Decided to go down this morning before my shift started at 12. Cheng wasn't working today so she would only be going down in the afternoon.
Upon reaching SMU's administration building, I asked the security counter (i think) where I could submit my applications. At that point of time, there was this girl who came over to the counter as well, she was just pretty formally, clad in a white flowy top, looked like an OL. I thought she was already an existing student until she turned when the women at the counter replied "You can submit it upstairs."
Okay, so we both headed towards the escalator and kinda parted ways when we reached the top. We're both clueless and came to an unspoken decision to search for the dropbox on own HAHAHA awkward lah.
Reached the dropbox at the same time......
AND THAT'S WHEN I REMEMBERED I HAD A BURNING QUESTION!!!
How come the application number they sent me in my email is different from the one on my checklist ah???
It's either I ask her or the women in the office 8 footsteps away but must open the glass door somemore. I asked the girl in white top.
And we chatted from there~ TURNS OUT, the formal is actually my appn no. for NUS HAHAHAHA omg what's more, I wrote it on every page of my document as instructed in the email omg.
We clicked really well and talked like......... we just had a mini reunion after ages lols, exchanged numbers and instagram :)
After leaving the building, I said I was headed to Harboufront for work, and we went to the topic of work and she said she worked at a Chinese restaurant.
First thing that came to mind, was..... Tim Ho Wan but idk why I said Din Tai Fung instead lols.
"No, something like that, close, Plaza Sing got oneee, Bedok got oneee"
AND YES, she worked at Tim Ho Wan! And I was like OMG I worked there before too!!!
She said she worked at the Bedok outlet and that's when I realised.......... she was the one I was supposed to have met but didn't omg!
Okay, Bedok's outlet was supposed to be having a lack of manpower so I was initially planning to work PT over there for the weekends. Prior to starting at Bedok, I worked at Toa Payoh for a night hahah. And my manager at Toa Payoh was telling me to look out for her niece at the Bedok outlet. She said her niece is of my age and she started telling me about how she keeps laughing, very "sot" one etc etc.
On my first day of work at Bedok's THW, no, I didn't see any youngsters, there were only aunties. Felt quite sian lah but yea, realised that part-timers wouldn't be working everyday lah.
I was....... SHOCKED. We both were shocked when I asked if she knew Berlin. She was like "OHMYGOD HOW YOU KNOW HER?!" and we cracked up in disbelief over how it was so fucking coincidental omg lols
