8/10 hair-fix

Got mah hair done at Live Hair Studio today!

Huh? Got difference meh? Isn't this how your hair looks everyday?
Of course got difference! BTS, I spend 15 minutes putting treatment and styling every morning, just to get it to look like this. But recently it keeps raining and the humidity is just rendering my morning styling efforts useless. After a couple of hours, the frizz returns ugh.

So I decided to do soft rebonding :) Also because it's interview season, needa look... proper HAHA

I found them through Fave (previously Groupon) and I'd say it is a really good deal! Spent a total of $118 for pre-treatment, soft rebonding, wash and blow ($98 original + $20 surcharge for hair length below shoulder). Initially I was quite cautious of the quality and end result because the price is half that of my usual salon! And it's even cheaper than some of the salons in JB. But after seeing a couple of positive 5 star reviews on their Facebook page, I thought that it was worth a shot and boy, I was not disappointed!

I liked how my hair turned out looking very natural, and didn't have that iron-flat look.

This is a no go for me!

Showed my stylist Tony the picture and was sure to emphasise that I didn't wanted my ends looking flat af. Actually wanted to curl my ends but Tony recommended against it cuz my ends are too damaged sobbles. But okay, I liked how he actually took time to understand my current hair condition, what I wanted and will give his recommendations/ advise on precautions. Can tell that he really cared about customer satisfaction. None of the "oh fave cheap deal, don't care, anyhow do" attitude which I had experience from some other merchants.

He was very upfront about everything that he was gonna do and even how long each step was gonna take. There was even a timer that would beep after every step. I liked it cuz I knew exactly what to expect and there ain't gonna be any of those 'surprises'. Beverages and magazines were offered too!

Apart from their good service and being vvvvv value for money, what I also liked about them is that they are very transparent and non-pushy! They told me about the surcharge over the phone when I was booking an appointment, and reminded me again before the session started. Tony did ask if I wanted to trim away the damaged ends, but I just went for a cut a month back so I didn't wanna cut again.

Okay so the only thing is that it's quite hard to find the salon. It is tucked away in a corner of Far East Plaza. At first I thought that it was gonna be quite cui cuz the whole mall was quite run-down. But my initial concerns were drowned when I stepped in the salon. The interior is quite nicely renovated sooo yeap it is a legit salon and overall I'd highly recommend it! :)
