Calling up DiscoverLionCity

10:12:00 PM

Alright, so I've called up DLC to check what exactly is going on. I made the call last Thursday or so ? Yeah.

After a loooonnngggg 20minute query and bugging and digging everything out, I guessed I had cleared all my doubts . I can't really remember the order of what we spoke about, but here goes ~

So the SMS balloting stays, first 100 SMSes they receive gets to have their movie tickets reserved. The rest of the tickets would be given out via balloting. The influx of movie tickets depends on the number of rmerchandises companies working with them.

I mentioned how the promoters told us "You don't have to think about it! You confirm have nothing to lose one!" and now we not confirm will get our rightful tickets? They said, ya they have provided training to the promoters but still, they couldn't control what the promoters actually say ! (okay the more I spoke, the more I felt like flipping the table~)

I said that WE FELT FREAKING SCAMMED because what the promoters told us was not what they delivered ! The boards they used to promote the DLC Priviledge card, clearly stated "24 Movie Tickets @ $50" !!  And now they are telling us it's not confirmed that we would get a free weekly movie ticket. They said on the terms and conditions it is stated "subjected to availability". FREAKING MISLEADING LARH and now they turned tables and it becomes our fault that we did not read carefully.

We have to constantly SMS them between 4pm-6pm every Saturday. Seems like I'm forwarding the same thing over and over again but oh well ~ I asked when is the latest time would we get a reply, because all this aimless waiting is so waste time. They said, if you do not get a reply by the next 2 days, it means that you didn't win the tickets. (I know right, seems like you're being dao-ed).

As to why they did not at least reply us a 'you did not win' text, they mentioned the limited telecom funds available. So I suggested sending a 'you did not win' email instead ! They said no manpower. Okayyyyyy...

According to the operator on the phone service line, you would get at least a ticket before the premium membership expires. As to how many tickets you would get at the end of the period, well, it depends on your luck. They said, even if you sent the SMS at 4pm sharp, they might not receive it on time due to the overwhelming inflow of SMSes from a thousand or so ppl.

I gave feedback on how inefficient the current system is, so impromptu and preferred the manually-go-down-and-queue system as we have a more concrete and fast answer. They said that the long queue had hindered other people's business operations. Sheeshhh. However, they said that they' might revert back to that system when their office is ready probably by late October or November.

I went back to the fact that we are losing out A LOT because most of us actually signed up for the movie tickets and not for the other random promotions like spa or haircare treatments. They said the movie tickets is just an additional benefit for those who signed up during the opening launch. However, we would still be entitled to the other weekly random vouchers even though we did not win the movie tickets. And that these tickets would be reserved until you win a movie ticket and they would send the whole chunk together (or collect at their office when it is ready).

Haha ! And then they were like, "You know, you won't actually lose out because you see, right now, we're having this promotion. 4 jugs of beer for..."

"I don't drink beer."

They went on about the other promotions or waivers on entrance fees for various attractions.

"I already have free access to all of them! :) "

So I texted Mindy on Friday to remind her to SMS them on Saturday at 4pm sharp.

However on Saturday, I was soooo caught up with my own stuff that I totally forgotten about it ! So I sent in my SMS very late, feeling dayum sadddd. But the next day, they replied mehhhhh ! HAHA ! Oh yayyyy ! I wonder if my number was actually recorded lols ~ Soooo, waiting for my ticket to reach me soon, I hope :)
