7 days of Korea w mah homies (Part 2)

Day 3 (Gimpo)

Flight -> Everland

From Jeju to Gimpo!
I like to board planes like this, without the air-conditioned linkway

Flight -> Everland

Previous time I visited, only managed to queue for 1 ride! Excluding the safari thingy which we had VIP access and cut the whole long queue #justhadtomentionthat ahahahah

That umbrella is a heater. Missin' the heat from the kitchen! Never thought it would happen omg

Xiao Ma made 3 stops 'compulsory': 4D adventure, iforgotwhat and Safari World
Iforgotwhat and 4Dadvenure were closed. Free to explore after that safari thingy HURRAY!!

The safari queue never moves... GROUP SELFIE!

We saw many interesting animals like:
the Monkey Bear,
the flirtatious Lion King (look at his pride of concubines),
the Holy Bear and
the Liger!!
Okay this one is truly interesting

Liger - Cross between a tiger and a lion
Tigers and lions are of different species according to the biological concept of speciation which states that only members of the same species can reproduce to give viable and fertile offsprings, which the liger is not. #actchim #coughingBioout #stillcanremember #holymoly #disbelief

This liger has been living alone because being weaker than both tigers and lion. He'd be attacked!
And yes, he can't reproduce. #trulyforeveralone

AFRICA
In case you might be wondering why there is green grass during winterrrr..... the following 2 pictures are from last summer!

National Geographic enough eh HAHAHA

And finally! THE RIDES!!!

Ride 1 - Snow Buster
Something like what Snow City has
WE ran towards this because there is real snowsnowsnow~

Ride 2 - T Express
A wooden roller coaster
THIS felt like suicide. But we survived.
Only managed to scream the first plunge down and my face froze in the gushes of wind LOLS

Just googled for the name of the ride and found out that that is
THE STEEPEST ROLLER COASTER IN THE WORLD!!
No wonder it felt like suicide

More Google images:

Ride 3 - Double Rock Spin
Wanted to ride on this the previous time with my sis but gahhh no timeeee
It spins you upside down!
Wished my eye was a video recorder. Wanted to capture the vertical panorama so bad!
People ground sky people ground sky people sky sky sky ground people ground sky
 CONQUERED!
This photo was supposed to show the aftermath - MESSY HAIR but I think everyone secretly swept their hair nicely HAHAHA! Except me! Look at that wild strand of hair on my face!

Last Summer:
 The iconic tree

This winter:

A group of Korean boys were leparking on the bench of the photo-taking spot. But we had to take a picture with this iconic tree! hahaha. Conversing in a mixture of hand gestures and fragmented Korean phrases, Wy asked if they could move away for awhile and help us take a picture! They thought we wanted to take a picture with them hahaha!
Wy: "아니아니" (no no)
Korean boy: "I.... don't. understand" he said in English. 귀엽다~

Scrambling at the back of my head to find the correct wordsss and thinking of how to phrase them tgt
What was that phrase I read before?
The phrase that says 'Let's take a picture together'?
AH! '우리 같이 사진 찍을까요?' !!!
Now how to say 'We want to take a picture'???

Went over and stuttered "우리... 사진 찍을 싶어요 *pauses* eh wait no. 싶은는데!"
Korean guy: Ahhhh~ *rephrases what I said in proper Korean*
Hurray!! They got it!
Passes my camera over, "도와주세요" (please help me)

And before leaving,
WE LOVE EVERLAND ^^

2 hour drive to Mount Sorak National Park

Stopped for dinner, buffet style
 Coldest temperature felt as yet!
SHIVERINGGG
But we still bought ice-cream waffles hahaha

Also, saw our first instances of snowww *_*  Only could see them against the beams of headlights!

Checked in The Class 300. It seemed like a love hotel??? There's a glass panel on the wall between the bathroom and the beds omg. And the bathtub is situated righttt beside THAT wall. But of course you can pull the blinds down hahaha.

Took my lovely time soaking in the tub after showering *_* Alright didn't soak for long because I turned and realised there was a rain shower head (at the other side of the bathroom)!!!!  Always wanted to try how good and how shiok everyone says it is!

Stood under the shower head with the soft splatters of water against my back, time stopped, I found myself immersed in nature, the trees, the forests, the jungles, looking up, I could see the sunbeams peeking through treetops, I could hear the melody of the birds chirping, I could feel myself stepping into a stream, water tingling around my toes, creeping up my ankle......... Wait.... I aint no dipping in a stream!!!? THE BATHROOM IS FLOODING WTF!

Spent quite a while sweeping water into the drain but anyways, the rain shower head was AWESOME gonna install one in my future home *_*

Day 4 (Mount Sorak National Park)

Woke up to more snowwww ^^

Breakfast & the view from the dining hall!
No filter but apparently everything is more blue-ish because of the window tint WHICH seemingly only the camera detects

Checked out after one night. It was the first time snowing (in the day) ever since we arrived, everyone was fascinated and spent some time taking pictures before we left!

Itinerary for the day:

Kwon Kum Seong Fortress -> Ski Equipment Rental -> Blue Canyon Waterpark

(not at our time of arrival but) The snowfall was so heavyyyy! There was a public toilet on the way to the cable car, but no one uses it during winter, you cant enter it at all because the snow has blocked like.... half the door?? omg!

To get to the fortress, we have to take a cable car up
Fake snow because we were indoors HAHAHA

ANYWAYS, didn't get to explore much because the snow was so DEEP it covered the whole walkway. There were no traces that anyone even walks through there! People in front us were just blindly walking through heaps of snow to open a path O_O

Wanyu brenda mindy were making snow angels lols hahaha

The path was narrow and squeezy and slippery, we got bored after awhile because our movements were restricted. Back to the cable car. Went down where it was easier to play with snow hehe :)

Introducing our Olaf's friend, Olif, the almost completed snowman

And Buddha

And the scenery (which looks totally like a wallpaper *_*)
(Looking up, they look like huge white dust specks hahahaha)

 And me

And them

And us

Kwon Kum Seong Fortress -> Ski Equipment Rental -> Blue Canyon Waterpark

Got our ski equipment at a little shop along the road cos it is cheaper! $5/ goggles vs $25/pair in the ski resort itself omg

Xiao Ma teaching us how to PREP for skiing hahaha

Kwon Kum Seong Fortress -> Ski Equipment Rental -> Blue Canyon Waterpark

There's this indoor suana where you have to go naked which Mindy and I didnt go HAHAHA!

Loved the outdoor jacuzzi where our whole body is submerged in lukewarm bubbling water and our faces are exposed to the icy cold air, I felt like eating ice-cream HAHAHA!

Free & easy for dinner! Dabao-ed soy sauce fried chicken from a shop across our hotel "Phoenix Park Resort" and it was DA BOMBZ, even richer than 4 fingers imo!!

Watching a kpop festival on TV + munching on fried chicken oohlala~

Andddd made a collage of videos for that day, I call it Snippets of Snow, and it clearly shows how suagu/ fascinated I am with snow lololols

눈있다 noon it da (it's snowing)
