you could take a little trip around singapore town, in a singapore city cab~
1:09:00 AM"Nowadays, taxi fares getting more and more expensive ah, (the distance of) one (bus) stop costs more than $20!!!"
Met up with Sirachar ytd!! :> The last time I saw her was........ more than 7 years ago? omg
Stop 1) MIYOC @ Orchard Central
Collected my orderrrr, bought a skirt from their online store during the Vesak Day sales where most of everything were below 20 bucks. Rlly sweet, they included a personalised note in my package :)
Sourced again.
Found one at Far East plaza, Exotic Tattoos, but theirs cannot customise sian :(
Back up plan, Henna at Little India lols
A day before yesterday, Sirachar told me she passed by a shop at SCAPE offering tats services, googled and found it to be Tribal Quest!!! Thumbsupthumbsupthumbsup!
☺
1) Fast reply (through FB PM, within half an hour)
2) Customisable
3) Reasonably priced (mine was $16, custom design, 3cm x 3cm)
4) Friendly staff
5) Quickly + neatly done (~10 minutes for template crafting + ~15 minutes for tattooing, fine lines)

P.S. My mum saw my tat and she thought it was a sticker. Sian.
Stop 2) Tats @ Tribal Quest
Had been searching for places in Singapore offering airbrush temporary tattoo services for dayssss, elated when I found Alive Tattoo, but after texting them to book an appointment, to my disappointment (hey it rhymes lols), received the reply "Currently we only have permanent tattoo services" :(Sourced again.

Stop 4) you could take a little trip around Singapore town, in a Singapore city cab
We didn't know how to get to Carpenter's and Cook cafe (at Lorong Kilat road) from where we were so we took a cab.
After 15 minutes, we were STILL on the cab. Thought that the cafe was at most 3 bus stops away and we were glad we didn't try walking lols. We were glad!!! Until................ we spotted Far East Plaza. We were at Bukit Timah and then we were in town, lovely.
"Uncle! Where you going?!?!"
"You say you want to go Carpenter Street right?!?!"
*facepalm*
"So the fare how??? Pay half ah?"
"Uhh... it's okay lah, this one don't need"
"Uhh... it's okay lah, this one don't need"
SO we routed alllllll the way back to where we started.
The uncle didn't know the way, and neither did we. He then asked us for directions *facepalm*
Forget it. We were just gonna take another cab.
The fare amounted to $22.90 excluding the flag-down fare, and he was like "Uhh sooo, you just pay me half can already lah, $10++ (cant rmb)"
Distance from original destination to final destination, 0km.
Sorry uncle, we were back to where we were, annyeong goodbye adios~
Stop 5) Carpenter's and Cook cafe
The quiche (bottom) was so-so to me, then again, I'm not rlly a huge fan of quiches.
I LOVE DESSERTS!!! And this is really a must-try, Passionfruit Meringue Tart!! (left) ($6.50)
The meringue tasted like marshmallows oolala~ and the passionfruit cream omigosh,
it was a tart full of goodness ^^
The Very Buttery Scone (right) ($4) was not bad too! But a lil too salty for my liking haha
Stop 6) NOOKS House of Pancakes
Found this along the same stretch of shops. Popped by for some DIY pancakes!!!
$11 (incl taxes) for a bottle of batter and a free topping. Red velvet batter with strawberries for us!! :)
"In today's episode, we're gonna be making DIY pancakes~ Here with me, I have a bottle of Red Velvet batter, and we are gonna squeeze the batter onto the.... cooker? I'll be making a heart"
*squeezes bottle*
"Ohmygod it's so flowy, ohmygod you can see the trails of batter, ohmygod it looks like a brain, BRAIN-FRIEDDD!!!"
*flips the batter over*
*heart pancake broke into 2*
"Ohmygod HEART BROKEN!!!" </3
*No pictures of my broken heart*
Didn't rlly like the chocolate syrup, it tasted..... fake. The maple one goes better imo!!
Honestly, McDonald's hotcakes taste better. This is more like play play for fun only??

I was eating my nasi lemak and your photos just keep me hohoho-ing and hohoho-ing away.
ReplyDeletelols okay i think i can kinda guess which photo were you laughing at ahahahah
DeleteIt's alright I enjoyed my nasi lemak also as much as I enjoyed the photos; sorry about it I'm just passing through various Singaporean blogs these few days also, fulfilled majority of the personal aspirations and ego-centric purposes that the world allowed me in having, yet amongst the several that I needed another person to fulfill together with me, simple paradoxes appear - when I thought I would change line and be a cook, I had to learn how dish washers work at Dempsey Hill last New Year's Eve, and the irony is that for me to have dishes to wash, I also needed young lovers of cuisine turning up to eat at e.g. Prime Society; so that day when I was washing dishes with my foreign talent cooks, mostly handsome hunks from Phillippines, all were very busy, yet there were very few customers in the restaurant.
DeleteYet if the world asked of me trying out a dish at Carpenter and Cook, I feel so full that it pleases me seeing you mump-mump.
Thank you.
